Thrifted Twin Threads (Audrina Patridge)

I have never watched any of her shows but I definitely know who Audrina Patridge is and I definitely love her style. I think that she is beautiful, edgy and effortless so of course I had to do a Thrifted Twin Threads Audrina Patridge style.

I love this look, its simple but the hat and wedges add so much.

If I would of bought each piece new I would of paid around $149 but since I bought everything thrifted I spent about $17.

Thrifted Twin Threads (Jennifer Aniston)

It has been super hot here so I have been loving wearing shorts and t-shirts just like this casual, cute outfit that Jennifer Aniston is totally rocking here.

I loved wearing this look! I was comfortable, I felt cute and the hat helped keep the sun off of my face.

If I would of bought each piece new I would of paid around $111 but since I bought everything thrifted I spent about $16.

Ready For The Red, White And Blue

For the past 2 years I have posted a 4th of July nail idea, you can see them here and here, so keeping with tradition...here is my festive fingers for this year!

For this years look I used Sally Hansen-Natural White, Sinful Colors-Ciao Bella, Stop Nail-Red and Sally Hansen No Chip Top Coat. I also used a pin stuck in the eraser of a pencil.

After I painted my nails with two coats of Natural White I poured a bit of Ciao Bella and the red onto a plate. I dipped the top of the pin, the round part, into the Ciao Bella...

 ...then I dabbed the top of the pin onto my nails making nice round blue circles. When I made all the blue dots I wanted on all my nails I wiped off the pin then did the same thing using the red.

And there you have it, my 2014 4th of July nail art! Fun and festive!

Thrifted Twin Threads (Jennifer Lawrence)

As I have said in many of my past posts I love getting into the spirit for almost every holiday and the 4th Of July is no exception. So when I saw this outfit on Jennifer Lawrence, one of my favorite actresses, I thought that it would be perfect for the 4th.

The red, white and blue are super cute together and the skirt and sheer top will keep me nice and cool.

Thrifted Twin Threads (Minka Kelly)

This look is pretty much my style in a nut shell...simple tee, jeans and some tennies. Minka Kelly is gorgeous and she makes this simple outfit look amazing.

I love the rolled up jean with the chuck style shoes...oh and I love the doggies too!

Thrifted Twin Threads (Lily Collins)

I love Lily Collins and I love her laid back style.

This is by far my favorite Twin Threads to date! This look was so easy, so casual, so comfortable and so cute. The boots were definitely my favorite part of the outfit.

If I would of bought each piece new I would of paid around $530 but since I bought everything thrifted I spent about $26.

DIY Sock Bun

Thanks to my ex being in the Military I've known about sock buns since before they started making the mesh bun ring and before the sock bun became a part of fashion. Its super simple to make a sock bun using one of your old socks so save your money and follow the directions below.

Grab an old tall sock, use one that is pretty close to your own hair color.
Cut the tip of the toe off of the sock.

Now roll the sock until you get a tight round circle and that's it, like I said...super simple!

To make my sock buns I start out with my hair in a high pony.
I put my hair through the sock circle then slide it up to the top of my pony.

I then flip my hair over the sock. Using my hands I smooth out my hair, making sure that none of the sock is showing.
I then take a tight hair band and place it over the sock.

I then like to wrap the extra hair around the hair band and pin it in place.
Or I braid the extra hair, secure the end with a plastic band, then wrap it around the hair band and pin it in place.
Both ways look amazing, sleek and can look pretty chic....love!

Thrifted Twin Threads (Lauren Conrad)

Spring is here and I am loving it! When I saw Lauren Conrad in this outfit I thought of spring which made me smile so of course I had to recreate it.

I thought that the floral shirt and the nude flats would be a cute look for Easter.

If I would of bought each piece new I would of paid around $640 but since I bought everything thrifted I spent about $41.

 

Thrifted Twin Threads (Rachel Bilson)

I love everything about Rachel Bilson! Her shows, her movies, her shoes on ShoeMint, her boyfriend and most of all her style. I was excited when I found her in this outfit because I pretty much had every piece already in my closet.

I loved the casual style with the lose jeans and platforms. 

If I would of bought each piece new I would of paid around $230 but since I bought everything thrifted I spent about $17.

Quick Earring Tip

I have super sensitive ears so when I try to wear earrings that aren't fancy smancy expensive my lobes rebel....its not pretty and it doesn't feel that great either. I could never deal with the pain, itchiness and crud so I never left the earrings in long enough for my ears to get used to them so I stopped wearing earrings. But a few months ago I realized just how much I missed those small, sparkly studs making my ears look pretty so I ventured into my jewelry box determined to stick it out this time...I also had a few trick up my sleeve.

 Meet my new friends Mr. Peroxide and Mrs. Cocoa Butter Jelly!

Before I put my earrings back into my ears I let them sit in the peroxide for a little bit. I also wiped down my lobes with a q-tip dipped in peroxide to give them a nice cleaning. I took my earrings out after a couple minutes in the peroxide and dipped the post of each earring into the jelly then put the earrings on. 

Just doing these two little extra steps changed everything. I didn't have a problem with my ears freaking out at all this time and my ears have been very happily sparkly ever since. I was amazed and so happy that I had to share.

Thrifted Twin Threads (Taylor Swift)

Valentines Day is right around the corner so when I saw this outfit on Taylor Swift I thought that it would be perfect for a dinner date with my hubby.

I adored everything about this outfit but I was obsessed with the red skirt that just popped....love!

If I would of bought each piece new I would of paid around $110 but since I bought everything thrifted I spent about $12.

Birthday Thrifted Twin Threads

This is another outfit that I found on Pinterest. I thought it would be a great outfit for dinner and drinks on my 30th Birthday.

This is totally my style, pretty simple and comfortable but still cute and would go from dinner to drinks very easily. I will probably just take off the scarf after dinner.

If I would of bought all the pieces of this outfit new I would of paid around $245 but since I bought everything thrifted I paid about $25.

Christmas Thrifted Twin Threads

I found this outfit on Pinterest and fell in love with it! I loved the black, white and red! I thought it was perfect for Christmas!

So cute and it is pretty formal for me!

Sparkley Holiday Spirt Nails

Its almost Christmas! Its almost Christmas! Its almost Christmas!

You cant tell I'm excited at all can you?! Christmas is my very favorite time of year, the lights, the snow, the scents....ugh I just love it all! As usual I had to get my nails holiday ready, this is the look I went with this year:

I love Emma Stone and I love her style so when I saw this I knew it had to be my December Thrifted Twin outfit!

The colors were great for this time of year and the jacket kept me nice a warm.

Thanksgiving Thrifted Twin Threads

I found this outfit on Pinterest and thought it was really cute and comfy and would be perfect to wear for Thanksgiving. So I ran out to some of my local thrift stores to find the pieces I needed...the search was on!

 This outfit is great for the cool fall weather.
