Grease Be Gone
Like most 2 year old children my son doesn't always get all of his food into his mouth so he ends up wearing some of his meals, so of course his clothes are spotted with stains. The one stain I have have always struggled with was grease but after talking to a friend I have found the cure, Dawn dish soap! I just put a small dot of Dawn on the grease stain then work it in with
an old toothbrush that I ran under some hot water. I let the clothes set for a little while in some hot water in the sink before I wash them and voila the grease is gone. It even worked on a shirt that I had washed and dried multiple times trying to get a large grease stain out of it before I found this miracle cure. Happy cleaning!

Towel Trama
If your like me you have started a load of towels in the washing machine
then ran out the door and totally forgot about them until the next day, this is what I like to call an oh crap moment. Noticing the nasty smell some of my towels had my mom told me to pour 1/4 cup bleach into the water of the washing machine then add my towels when the machine was almost full. This worked like a dream for me! Thanks mom, I will never have smelly towels again!

Fix The Skip
My family loves to watch movies and we have literally worn some DVDs out. Most of our favorites skip like crazy and me being the cheap-o that I am do not want to go out and re purchase them. So I did a little research and to my surprise the answer to my problem was right under my sink....furniture polish. So I stole one of my husbands old soft undershirts and got to work. I sprayed about a quarter size circle of polish on a small part of the shirt then wiped it all over one of the scratched DVDs, wiping up and down NOT in a circle. I then buffed the polish in until the DVD was nice and shinny and that was that. I was amazed when most of the movies played without skipping but the DVDs that were beat up the most still skipped a bit so I buffed a second coat of the furniture polish on them and now all our DVDs are skip free. So instead of running out to replace your favorite DVDs that is no longer cooperating with your DVD player try a little furniture polish on it first, it could save you some money!
